Carbon Fiber Cello Endpin £48

Carbon fiber is extremely light, stiff and strong, so makes a superior endpin for cellos. The lighter weight and better transmission of vibration make a very worthwhile improvement to the tone and liveliness of most good cellos.
It has a hard steel spike fitted to the end of the carbon rod, and includes a rubber floor protector
A typical steel cello endpin weighs 180g for the steel rod, this carbon rod including spike weighs just 60g
Cone (tapered insert) and clamp holder piece is ebony or rosewood. (varies)
The taper max diameter is 24.5mm. Tapered insert length is 47mm, taper min diameter is 21.5mm.
The wooden part projects 42mm outside the cello, the metal spike not including the rubber protector projects an additional 30mm. The metal spike is longer than necessary and could be ground down up to 10mm shorter if you need to to fit the cello in a case that doesn't have enough spike room.
