Hiscox make very strong and well made cases - this is their standard cello case
This case is available in black or ivory shell. It is only available with red interior.
The ivory shell is slightly stronger material, and also reflects heat better, keeping your cello cooler, so thats the one we stock.
Hiscox liteflite cases are made with a layer of moulded hard foam (not just carved expanded polystyrene like some other cases) bonded to the inside of the ABS shell, this stiffens the whole case so it stands up more rigidly, especially in the open position, as well as providing great shock absorbtion. Many other hard cello cases save size and weight by minimising the lining, but this can defeat the whole point of the case by allowing the cello to hit the inside of the shell when there is an impact.
The hard foam covers the whole inside of the case, and there are additional soft foam pads at pressure points, to hold the cello snugly in place.
